Student Guidelines for Online Classes
The following guidelines are for members attending onlne classes through The Fox Center. Most classes are only one hour long and it is important, therefore, that no time is wasted in unnecessary chatter. I ask that students comply with these guidelines to assist instructors. You may stay online and chat after the class is finished if you’d like.
Once the class has started any latecomers should enter quietly. It is up to the instructor whether or not they chose to give a recap at that point in the class. I urge all students to be punctual for group work. If someone logs in late, students should not interrupt the class to greet the new person.
Since the class is in forum format, it is important that there is some type of order to how it runs. Please do not interrupt when an instructor or another student is talking. If tyou have a question or need clarification on a point, please type a '?’ for question and ‘c’ if you wish to make a comment. The instructor will then respond to your query.
After you have indicated you have a “?,” please type that question into the field and wait until the instructor that he or she is ready for you to put your question into the room. When speaking to the instructor or making comments, it is necessary to end your text with a ‘k’. This ensures that everyone knows we are finished.
Some instructors are happy to take questions while the class is in session, but others prefer to wait until the end. The Instructor will let you know at the beginning of the class how he or she wants to deal with questions.
Please direct your questions only to the topic at hand and do not dominate the time with answers to your personal issues. If you feel you need to discuss a problem or issue with the instructor, please make a time after the class to email the center and request personal time.
Please note: All times given are Eastern Standard time. Please be sure to adjust times to your own time zone.
Online Circle Guidelines
Attending students are expected to arrive promptly, preferably five minutes before the class begins. If you are late, please enter quietly and quietly tune in to what is going on, The instructor will make any latecomers aware of anything they need to know at that point.
The circle is open to all students and is for the purpose of spirit communication only. Everyone attending will be at varying stages of development and this should be taken into account and respected by all.
The same rules which apply in classes, apply in circle, if you have any comments or questions please signify this by typing a “?” or a “c.”
No interruptions will be permitted when someone is working unless it is to accept the information being given or in some way respond to the information.
The following topics are not permitted:
• Diagnosing, prescribing or predicting illness or death
• Guides, spirit helpers, angels, elementals or teachers
• Life advice, predictions or information that might cause embarrassment or offence.
The circle fosters an atmosphere of friendly support and understanding conducive to development, training, enjoyment and ultimate success. Please respect this.
